Just as it was in the times of John the Baptist, he was telling the people to repent or to change their minds that God was about to do a new thing, out with the old and in with the new, that old ritualistically religious system that once worked, will no longer cut it! And from the time of John the Baptist until now the same message is being heralded. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. The time for reformation in the church is now.
