What is God saying? The oil spill a tragedy of Biblical proportions Revelation 18

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is gushing out like the blood of 10 million slaves thrown into those very waters 1807 -1860 during the Triangular Trans Atlantic slave trade between Britain, West Africa and America.

Just as the scriptures is written in Revelations 18:5  the sins of the great city Babylon have reached heaven and God have remembered her iniquities.

“The Last Slave Ships” landed in  Gulf of Mexico in New Orleans in the eighteenth  century.

The souls of men sold for money during the cruel slave trade just so happen to be on the same path as the British Petroleum Deep horizon oil rig in the Florida coastline along the Atlantic Ocean.

Just as the triangular slave trade during the eighteenth century made billions selling human beings, today we see billions being lost as millions of gallons of oil continues spewing reminding me of how the blood of men was lost in those same waters during the brutal slavery trade.

Revelation 18:11 “And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more” We see the fishermen and the merchants livelihood endangered just as it is written in the word of God in book of Revelations.

During the slave trade it was a common practice of the crews to throw overboard slaves that had become sick and could not net a profit once the ships reached their destination in the Americas.

Sometimes whole cargo's were thrown overboard so that the ships commanders could collect insurance on cargo. It is also hard to calculate the number of Africans that were thrown overboard. Some historians estimate that as many as 10 million Africans were thrown into the waters of the Atlantic during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
