How to hear from God

It can be frustrating and very normal or I should say natural to feel at times like God is not near you. Nevertheless, we serve a supernatural God who has created the heaven and earth. So many times it could feel as if God is not speaking, hearing your prayers, answering them or even acknowledge that He even knows you are there. However, one thing we know for sure and that is His Word is true and it will not return to Him void, but it will accomplish everything He sent it out to do. (Isaiah 55:11) Therefore His word (Psalm 22:3) says this that “He inhabits the praises of His people”. The word inhabits means to dwell in, live in, and occupy, to reside or take up residence in. So if you want to bring our supernatural awesome creator of all God, in on the scene praise Him! Praising God is not a feeling or an emotion, it’s a decision that comes from a pure heart posture that says like Job (Job 13:15) “though you slay me, yet I will trust you”! When God opens the eyes of our understanding to see a true revelation of who He really is and what He has done for us, you will give God all the honor and glory He deserves, and in return you will feel His presence and know you have heard from Him.
